Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson welcomed baby Maxwell on May 1st

It finally happened on May 1st. What a birthday? After much anticipation Jessica Simpson finally gave birth to her daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on Tuesday. The bay is a 9lbs 13oz healthy bundle of joy and both mother and child are in good health.

According to a source, the delivery went smoothly and Simpson is already up and walking around taking care for the baby. She is finally relieved that the baby is healthy.

Simpson with fiancé Eric posted the confirmation news on her website, “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are grateful for all the support, love and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!”

Both the families are also excited and happy with the birth. Jessica’s father Joe tweeted about the arrival of his granddaughter, “Proud papa Joe! Beautiful girl. What a miracle!!”

An insider told that the family will be dedicating this and the next week in helping Jessica recover and take care for the baby.
